has been developing real estate in Chicago since 1994. In the mid-1990's he helped found Chicago Urban Properties-one of Chicago's largest loft and condominium developers in the last part of the 1990's-developing over 600 units in a four year span.
He joined Centrum Properties as a partner in 1998. Centrum completed a wide variety of commercial and residential projects in Chicago during Lipe's tenure including: the redevelopment of the former Montgomery Ward's headquarters campus in River North into a new neighborhood, construction of the North Avenue Collection at Sheffield Street and North Avenue in Lincoln Park, and the construction of Churchill Row Lofts & Rowhomes in Bucktown.
